Electric Scooters
Metro America builds two electric scooters, and both are on this page. The METRO City is the light one: 27 lbs, 18 miles of range, folds in three seconds, $499 (regularly $795). The METRO City Pro is the long-range one: 29 lbs, a 720W motor, a 300 Wh battery and 25 miles of range, or 35 with the InfiniteSwap swappable battery system, $699 (regularly $895).
What both models share
Both are limited to 20 mph. Both are UL 2271 and UL 2272 certified, tested by the accredited SGS laboratory - the certification New York City's Local Law 39 requires of an electric scooter sold in the city, and the one residential buildings ask to see before a battery comes indoors. Both add Fire Sleeve battery protection with a five-point auto shutoff and dual braking.
Both pair with METRO+, our own app: GPS tracking, remote digital locking, selectable speed modes and live battery health.
Which one is right for you
Under 15 miles a day with stairs in your commute, take the City. Beyond that, or if you would rather swap a battery than stop to charge, take the City Pro. The side-by-side comparison lays out every spec. Free UPS Ground shipping on both.
